Affiliate Disclosure

Though we participate in a number of affiliate programs, Amazon affiliates has specific disclosure requirements.

They want us to tell you that: Mossy Creek Mushrooms it a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. It doesn’t cost you anything extra to use these links, but we earn small commissions for helping you find a useful product.

Orders

When placing an order, please be aware of the following:

  • Be sure to provide accurate address and payment information. This includes proper billing and shipping addresses. Failure to provide correct information may lead to delays or cancellations.
  • Please double-check all orders before completing them. Mossy Creek Mushrooms will ship orders as they are submitted, and expect that customers have ordered the proper products and quantities. Corrections may be made to orders only if Mossy Creek Mushrooms is immediately notified of errors before processing and shipping is started. Do not place duplicate orders, as this will complicate the correction process. Please contact Mossy Creek Mushrooms immediately if errors have occurred with your order.
  • Mossy Creek Mushrooms must have a way to contact customers, and requires either a phone number or email address for all orders. If an email address is provided, it should be assumed that we may use if for communication pertaining to the order. Failure to provide correct contact information may result in delay or cancellation of an order if we cannot reach you in a timely manner.
  • Mossy Creek Mushrooms will process orders as quickly as possible, but we can not guarantee that orders will be shipped the day they are received.

Turnaround Time for Orders

Due to the fact that our products are made to order, our average turnaround time is 1 week before being shipped. If there is a problem getting your order ready to ship in that time period, you will be contacted.

Shipping

Mossy Creek Mushrooms ships through the United States Postal Service (USPS), and does not guarantee same-day shipping.

We additionally ship internationally. Please reach out to us via phone or email and we will create a custom invoice for you. All international shipments will include a phytosanitary certificate.

Returns Policy

Live Items

Please do not ship Live Items back to Mossy Creek Mushrooms. If you suspect that your Live Item is damaged or defective, contact Mossy Creek Mushrooms for a replacement as quickly as you can.

Mossy Creek Mushrooms does not accept returns of live items.

Below, you will find information pertaining to returns of non-live items for various reasons.

Defective/damaged merchandise:

Mossy Creek Mushrooms will replace defective merchandise free of charge provided that the following steps are taken:

  • Damaged/defective merchandise must be reported to Mossy Creek Mushrooms within 10 business days from the day of receipt. Failure to report damaged/defective products in a timely manner may result in additional fees for replacement.
  • Customers notifying Mossy Creek Mushrooms of a return should contact us via phone whenever possible, or by email if this option is not available.
  • When notifying us of a return, please have your order number available (this number will appear as “Invoice No.” and will appear on the upper left corner of the invoice included with your order).

Refunds Policy

Mossy Creek Mushrooms does not offer refunds for live items. Please do not ship Live Items back to Mossy Creek Mushrooms. If you suspect that your Live Item is damaged or defective, again, simply contact us and we’ll happily replace the product.

In the event that a refund IS approved at our discretion:

  • We prefer to issue a refund in the same form of payment used to originally purchase product. However, this may not always be possible. For example, if more than 30 days have passed since the original credit card transaction for an order, we may not be able to process refund to the credit card. In this instance, would issue refund in the form of a check.
  • When credit card refunds are processed, please allow up to 5 business days for funds to be returned to your account. (This time may vary depending on the processing times required for various financial institutions.)

Live Item Terms of Sale

  • Limitation of Liability: Mossy Creek Mushrooms warrants to the extent of the purchase price only that the grain spawn, plug spawn, syringes, slants, and/or culture plates sold are as described on the label within recognized tolerances. No other warranty is given, expressed or implied, of (1) the suitability of spawn for purposes beyond those endorsed by our instructions or (2) against loss due to factors beyond our control. We cannot accept any responsibility for the many uncontrollable growing conditions and climate conditions (substrate preparation, environmental contaminants, temperature control, moisture control, etc.) that must be met to insure the success of your mushroom spawn.
  • All Products: Mossy Creek Mushrooms guarantees our strains will perform within estimated parameters, provided the strains are appropriately cared for and used in accordance with provided tutorials on our YouTube channel. If you encounter difficulty, contact Mossy Creek Mushrooms. We’re happy to help however we can!
  • Mossy Creek Mushrooms guarantees to our customer that our products will be viable upon receiving. We will replace any strain if the mushroom culture does not demonstrate vitality and purity during the expansion stage. If you experience problems with our strains, please contact us immediately. Due to the many environmental factors beyond our control, Mossy Creek Mushrooms cannot guarantee the production of fruit bodies, particular weights, absolute performance, or the complete success of your crop. (see Limitation of Liability above).

  • Hawaiian orders: due to import restrictions in the state of Hawaii, it is necessary to obtain a permit for the importation of live mushroom mycelium into the islands. This affects the sale of Mossy Creek Mushrooms’ Mini Farms, Plug Spawn, Grain Spawn and Culture Plates.
    • Customers in Hawaii wishing to purchase any of these products will need to first apply for and receive an Import Permit from the HSDA Plant Quarantine Branch.

  • Grain Spawn and Culture Plates:
    • All grain spawn and culture slants are custom produced, and may take between 2 weeks to produce and incubate, depending on species and availability. In season strains will ship promptly.

Merchandise Exchanges

Everyone makes mistakes, and we understand that! If you order the wrong size shirt, the wrong style of sweatshirt, etc, give us a call. The following policies and procedures will apply:

  • Mossy Creek Mushrooms must be notified in advance of all merchandise being sent back in order to facilitate an exchange and fall within our third party fulfillment center guidelines.
  • Notification of intent to exchange product should be conveyed within 10 business days from the day of receipt. Failure to notify Mossy Creek Mushrooms within this time may delay or alter exchange options.
  • Customers notifying Mossy Creek Mushrooms of a request to exchange should contact us by phone whenever possible, or by email if this option is not available.
  • When contacting us to discuss possible exchanges, please have your order number available (this number will appear as “Invoice No.” on the upper left corner of the invoice included with your order).
  • At the time of notification, Mossy Creek Mushrooms will be glad to provide a shipping total for the exchange to take place. Please include the sum in your package, or arrange to make payment by phone. This shipping cost reflects only the cost that will be charged for our shipment of the replacement item of your request.
  • Please note: Mossy Creek Mushrooms is unable to accept any item that has been damaged, dirtied, or otherwise made to be less than “new.” This would include, for example, clothing exposed to tobacco or heavy perfumes.
  • Please include a copy of the invoice, along with any other pertinent information (your name, shipping address, phone number, payment for postage and reason for exchange). This will increase our ability to process your return in a timely manner.
  • Upon receipt of the product to be exchanged, Mossy Creek Mushrooms will assess the item for return to stock. Once the product has been deemed fit for restocking, Mossy Creek Mushrooms will be glad to ship the agreed-upon exchange item to you.

Privacy Policies

Internet Privacy:

Mossy Creek Mushrooms does not record or track the Internet identity of individuals visiting our Website. Our Internet Service Provider does track the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computers accessing our site, and makes that information available to us. However, there is no way for us to determine from this information the email address or other identifying data of any individual Web surfer accessing our site. For instance: if you are an America Online subscriber and visit our site, our ISP will record that Mossy Creek Mushrooms Online was visited by x.x.x.x (where x is a number) or cache-xxx-xxx-proxy.aol.com, not (yourscreenname)@aol.com.

Your Data

Mossy Creek Mushrooms’ Online Store requires the customer to enter their name, address, telephone number and email address in order to purchase products online. This information will not be sold, rented or otherwise dispensed to any other individual, organization or company.

It is through cookies that we are able to provide customers with such amenities as order status and automatic form completion.
