Our MCM Grain Spawn Medley includes a sterilized blend of oats and milo. In our experience, this duo yields maximum nutrition and inoculation points! This option includes 5 lbs. of sterilized growth medium inoculated with your strain of choice available from our personal strain library.
Properly sterilized grain spawn is an essential part of growing mushrooms for profit. Each five-pound bag holds enough spawn to create up to forty production bags for commercial growth. Just mix your spawn into your substrate and shake it so it mixes thoroughly throughout the bag. This helps the mycelium grow full throughout the fruiting bag faster.
If you’d like to make it last even longer, making new spawn from it is incredibly simple. Instead of adding the scoop into the substrate, add it to already sterilized grains, and the mycelium will spread; creating additional spawn to be used.
