Our Grain Spawn:

Our Grain Spawn, grown on our very own Mossy Creek Medley, includes a sterilized blend of oats, corn, and milo inoculated with your choice of genetics. In our experience, this trio yields maximum nutrition and inoculation points! Each bag weighs in at 5 lbs. and can inoculate up to 35 to 40 production blocks.

Our Bulk Spawn Program:

This is a seasonal offering of strains that will rotate throughout the year and will represent what we are currently packing in our very own operation, seasonally. This way we can simply bulk produce what we’re already producing in order to shorten shipping times and lower our prices for you as well! 

We have two options within this option:

– Bulk Spawn Pack ($100)

A Bulk Spawk Pack where you choose one of four strains from our seasonal strain options and get four identical 5 lbs. grain spawn bags. This is a total of 20lbs of grain spawn of one type!

– Bulk Spawn Multi-Pack ($100)

A Bulk Spawn Multi-Pack where you get one of each of the 4 strains we are currently offering for this season. This is a total of 20 lbs. of grain spawn divided into 4 different strains. 

Choose the Bulk Spawn Multi-Pack, get these four strains at $25 a bag instead of $32:

*These strains are slated to be swapped for Summer strains in July 2023. 

Mossy Creek Mushrooms is a small-scale specialty grain spawn supplier. In plain speak, this means that we provide you with some really unique strains and genetics but are limited in the amount we can produce. Every order is made to order. While normally this means that all we have to do is pull a syringe of liquid culture and inoculate your bag; sometimes we have higher than average sales volume and our limited output means that we occasionally fall behind. This can cause our shipping times to be pushed back.

Sterile Grain Spawn is used to inoculate bulk pasteurized or sterilized substrates for the indoor cultivation of gourmet mushrooms.  These bags have enough spawn to make 40 12-pound substrate blocks.
