The Rockefeller Oyster was brought to us by our friend Eddie Barnes out of Greenville TN during the summer of 2020. Showing off with dense, meaty, cream-colored caps this little strain is ready to rock out! Big yields are going to make the mushroom farmer happy, while the texture of this oyster is going to have your chef, or yourself excited enough to enter this mosh pit.
The Rockefeller oyster is new to cultivation and therefore we don’t know its whole temperature range, but it was grown at the tail end of summer and grows fantastically in Spring and Fall temperatures. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion it’s going to be an amazing winter oyster.
